This silver on copper “bisquit jar” is a classic Victorian piece. It uses an old spelling for “biscuit,” a British-English term. In present day American English, we would call it a cookie jar. Silver and silver plate were popular in the Victorian era.

Make plans to attend EXPO

The retail committee of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce is now taking reservations to book space for the Business EXPO. The theme is “Celebrate the Possibilities” and the event will be held October 20 at the State Theatre Event Center. Set up will be Wednesday, October 19 from noon to 5 p.m.
