More than 3,000 voters turned out to the polls across Cherokee County Tuesday to cast ballots in the August primary election. Of that number, more than two-thirds were registered Republicans.
Locally there was only one contested race, Cherokee County Commission District 1 saw two candidates vying for the Republican vote, Scott Boyes and Josh Reed.
