An increase of $80,000 in the employee health insurance of the City of Columbus was apparently just too much for the city council to approve.
After two meetings with hours of discussion and two votes the council confirmed their first vote and decided to discontinue their policy with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and transfer to a less expensive option with Unified Health Plan.
