Class of 1936 climbs ladder of higher learning

In September 1932, 125 teenagers enrolled at the Cherokee County Community High School to begin their climb up the broad ladder of higher learning.

Four years later, on May 25, 1936, 109 students marched across the stage to receive their diplomas presented by G.A. Sanders, president of the board, and Mrs. Ethel Lock, principal of the school.
