This is the uniform of the Fraternal Organization of the Improved Order of the Red Men. This lodge contributed to the Braille system for the blind and programs for retarded children through Save the Children Federation. The Red Men’s Lodge is no longer active in Columbus.
Lodges, secret orders and such institutions in Cherokee County in 1904 numbered over 50 according to the History of Cherokee County published in that year.
