Former Cherokee County Sheriff and County Commissioner Patrick W. Collins died Wednesday following an extended battle with kidney disease.
He was apparently found in a Joplin Missouri Hospital although not a patient. He had been receiving dialysis treatments since before his retirement from the Commissioner’s office which he held for more than ten years.
