Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves had the opportunity to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on behalf of Kansas Sheriff’s, Chiefs of Police and Peace Officers in opposition of a bill that would hinder law enforcement’s ability to seize money made by criminals from their criminal acts.
The proposed bill would send any money that is seized to the state, rather than keeping it local.
