A study released by the Center for Healthcare Quality and Payment Reform (CHQPR) indicated 58-percent of rural hospitals in Kansas were at risk of closure including Mercy Columbus.
Looking through the list of those small Kansas hospitals it becomes obvious all small rural hospitals are not alike. Mercy, unlike most of the list, is part of a major hospital network.
