Paving of final twomile stretch, just before the Missouri state line, of Old US Highway 96 is slated to begin today according to County Road and Bridge Superintendent JR Neal.
The project was approved at the Commissioners’ regular meeting on August 24, at a price of $355,121.25 and only covers two miles of the 4.8 mile length of highway east of the US 160 and US 400 intersection.
