Hatred and resentment are powerful negative forces in our lives. Resentment often turns into obsession and becomes an open wound that refuses to heal because we keep picking at it. Spiritual advisors have almost always directed us to get over these feelings of hatred and resentment by the counter-intuitive advice of loving one’s enemies and praying for those who harm us.
