Schedule of events for Battle of Baxter Springs Reenactment

On October 6, 1863, William Quantrill and his band of raiders attacked Fort Blair near Baxter Springs, charging 90 soldiers who were just sitting down for lunch outside the fort. The soldiers ran to the safety of the fort and Union soldiers were able to defend against the attack. Quantrill suspended his attack after losing a few of his men.
