In previous years, the annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk, began in front of the Cherokee County Courthouse. This year the event will begin at the office of Spring River Mental Health in Columbus, 201 W. Walnut. Following the walk, participants may place pinwheels to honor and remember loved ones.
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Sunday, September 20, Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. (SRMHW) will host the fifth Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk, bringing together local families, community members and partners.
