Calvin Carrico, Cloyd Ray and Jimmy Zook, from the Road and Bridge Department were in attendance at the Fair “thank you” lunch.
During the Cherokee County Fair, a “thank you” lunch for those who helped make the event a success. Members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department Brian Henderson, Chip Root and Terry Clugston were among those attending.
Adley Hess was awarded the Bucks Green Thumb Award during the awards ceremony held Saturday night of the fair. The award was presented by Fair King Titus Woods and Anne Sharp.

Mia Andrews was presented the award for Beginning Overall in the dogs division. The award, in memory of Buck Sharp, was was presented by Anne Sharp during the awards ceremony Saturday night of fair week.
Visual arts ribbons awarded
Several youngsters, as well as adults, attended Bible School at Center Christian Church recently. Above Curt Zahm and below David Eddington lead activities.
Kate Martin was named Grand Champion in Floriculture. She received her award Saturday night of Fair week. The award was presented by Fair King Titus Woods.
Results have been announced in the visual arts classes. They were judged Wednesday, July 9 and Grand and Reserve Champions were announced Tuesday night of the fair. Judges were Sara LeAnn Johnston, Sarah North and Kelly Karsten.
