Water loss decreases in public works report

During the past year the City of Columbus bought 102.5 million gallons of water and sold just over 85-million gallons to customers.

According to the report sent to the State of Kansas by City Superintendent Randy Coble there was a nine-percent loss in the water purchased.

While that may seem a high number when compared to past years it is exceptionally lower.
