Just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, Cherokee County Deputies were summoned to a Weir residence.
As a result of their investigation, 60-year-old Francisco Torres, of Weir, was taken into custody near the scene.
Torres is suspected of approaching a senior while she was outside her home gardening and attempting to sexually assault her.
