Tractors used in the pedal tractor pull vary depending on the age of the entrant. Older children get to try their hand at this tractor. Winners in each division have the opportunity to compete at the Kansas State Fair.

The Columbus Fire Department recently purchased a 2014 Ford F550 Wet Rescue Apparatus from Diamond Rescue Supplies, LLC. The City Council approved the purchase in the amount pf $130,000. According to fire Chief Steve Burton the truck is gently used and equipped with a professionally built rescue box. The truck is ready for service and has 22,000 miles on it.
