After several months of intense heat and drought stress, many tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass lawns across Kansas have entered a dormant state. While dormant, these lawns turn brown and require less water for survival but still remain alive at the base of the plants (crown).

Boil order rescinded for West Mineral

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of West Mineral public water supply system located in Cherokee County. The advisory was issued because of a waterline break resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system.
