A good-bye party was held in the Central School foyer in honor of Superintendent Dr. Brian Smith at the end of school. A graduate of Columbus High School he came back to the local district in 2018 following a 16 year stint at Galena.

Central School in Baxter Springs has announced their honor rolls.
A reception for Dr. Sarah Garner Maxton was held recently (May 25) at the Baxter Springs Community Center. This has been quite a journey for the “high distinction” Liberty University graduate. All this while her daughter, Eva, was battling Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. Sarah was wearing her graduation robes with scholar accoutrements and her 4.0 Grade Point Average medal.
