Judging helps develop communication skills

One of the purposes of the fair is to show others your mastery of project skills and to learn how to improve those skills for the future. This is often accomplished thru the judging process.Judges are people who are knowledgeable about a particular project area.
During the annual Pedal Tractor Pull, younger children get to try their hand at a smaller tractor, while older youngsters try their hand at this one. Winners in each division have the opportunity to compete at the Kansas State Fair.

Cherokee County has four 4-H clubs

Cherokee County has four community clubs at the present time.Spring Valley Sparklers was chartered in 1948 and their leaders are Laura Holmes and Sammie Hall. 1949 saw the Prairie Ramblers get their charter.
