Cherokee County’s wheat harvest is well underway with a record crop predicted if the current warm weather holds for the next few weeks. Trucks were lining up at the Farmer’s Coop on Monday after they had been coming in regularly over the week-end.

The retirement luncheon recognizing Jeff Watkins 45 years with the Cherokee County Farmers Coop became an all-around retirement event. Also noted were Rick Atkinson for his recent retirement and Lorrie Scott is retiring in two weeks.
