Cherokee County Road and Bridge Department received delivery of new heavy equipment. The equipment arrived in the county last week and was introduced to the employees with a meeting held at Big Brutus.
A new lease to own equipment plan has been developed by the Cherokee County Road and Bridge Department to extend the life of heavy equipment while cutting maintenance costs.
The current road grading equipment was all purchased at the same time leading to them all needing maintenance and replacement at the same time.
