Machelle Renee “Shelly” Hartley, 56, of Miami, Okla., died Monday, August 8, 2022 at Integris Miami Hospital In Miami, Okla. Born August 19, 1965, in Baxter Springs, Shelly was the daughter of Bill and Deborah (Frogue) Greaves. She was a 1983 graduate of Miami, Okla. High School. She received her master’s degree in nursing and was a nursing instructor at Franklin Tech for 20 years. She was a Registered Nurse and was currently working at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, Okla. She was a member of First Christian Church in Miami, Okla.
Shelly was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Greaves.
Shelly is survived by her son, Mason Hartley of Miami, Okla., daughters, Tara Sharp of Grove, Okla. and Jessica Smith (husband Kaleb) of Miami, Okla. Her sisters, Cristie Vaughn and Bee Greaves of Miami, Okla., brother, Chris Horton of Grove, Okla., step-sisters, Jennifer Jorgenson of Welch, Okla. and Melissa Boyce of Miami, Okla. and six grandchildren, Gavin Good, Averleigh Sharp, Kamdyn Sharp, Lakelin Hamilton, Kensleigh Smith and Kalvan Smith also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 12, at the First Christian Church in Miami, Okla. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla.
