David Kuhler

David Eugene Kuhler, 67, of Galena, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in his RV at Oak Hill Court, in Cassville, Mo. Born February 13, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas, David was the son of Gene and Patricia (Thompson) Kuhler. They preceded him in death. David was also preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Reverend Donald J and Violet (Rice) Anderson; three brothers, Robert Kuhler, Steven Kuhler, and James Kuhler.

Dave moved to Galena in August of 2020. He was raised in Fort Worth, Texas . moved to the area in 1992. He and his wife owned and operated Anderson Glass in Joplin, Mo. from March 1, 1993 until his retirement in June of 2022. He was fantastic at his work and devoted countless hours helping people with the aftermath of the Joplin tornado.

David was a man who followed Christ. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and doing yardwork, especially taking care of his in-law’s property in Galena. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was affectionately called MoPo by his grandchildren.

Dave and LaDonna Kay “Dawn” Anderson were united in marriage March 25, 1988 at A Cave Without A Name in Boerne Texas. She survives.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Darrin Campbell, and Jace Kuhler (Leslie), both of Joplin, Mo. and Tracy Stojanik (Raymond), of Webb City, Mo; his siblings, Amy Groff (Jerry), of Coppell, Texas, Mike Kuhler (Toi), Fort Worth, Texas and Richard Kuhler (Peaun), of Silicon Valley, Calif. Five grandchildren, Derrek Grisham (Kara), Aidan Good, Ahava Kuhler, Myer Kuhler and Serenity Whitney along with four greatgrandchildren, Dillion, Kayden, Ainsley and Jaxon; and his special brother-in-law, Kevin Anderson who he loved so much also survived.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 21 at Christpoint Church, in Galena. Travis Goad, Pastor Josh Pennington and Mandy Meadows officiated. Pallbearers were Darrin Campbell, Jace Kuhler, Aidan Good, Myer Kuhler, Ray Mallonee, Rick Bryant, Ray Stojanik, and Kerry Honeycutt.

Private family burial was held Monday, August 22 at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Galena.
