Rodger Dale Lane, 64 of Exeter, Mo., died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin. Born in California November 12, 1957, Rodger was the son of Samuel Lane and Betty (Cupp) Lane. He had lived in the four-state area since his early childhood. He worked as a general mechanic and production line worker and enjoyed fishing, camping, rodeos and dirt track racing with his family in his free time.
Rodger was united in marriage to Pamela Lane. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Rodger is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Owens (husband, Hank) of Galena, Tracy (husband, Jared) of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Nicole Lane (husband, Zack LaTurner) of Granby, Mo.; two brothers, Jack Lane of Horseshoe Bend, Ark. and Tony Lane of Stella, Mo.; three sisters, Patricia Friend (husband, Steve) of Goodman, Mo., Cindy Foster (husband, Ray) of Noel, Mo., and Evelyn Cross (husband, Charlie) of Exeter, Mo.; eighteen grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
Rodger was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Lane.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. November 12, at Stephanie’s Home, 2519 Rickner Road, in Galena. Cremation has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena.
