Cynthia Forkner

Cynthia J. Forkner, 65, of Joplin, Mo., died following a brief illness at 9:24 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. Born June 22, 1957 in Columbus, Cynthia was the daughter of James and Marilyn Morris. Her father preceded her in death. She spent most of her life in Columbus. She graduated from Columbus Unified High School with the class of 1975.

Cynthia deeply enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed discovering new treasures at garage sales and thrift stores, especially anything cow-related for her beloved “cow collection.”

Cynthia is survived by two children, Jeremy Forkner and Joleen Roney; her mother, Marilyn Morris; four siblings, James Morris, Gail Herrington, Pam Smith and Bev Burton; and seven grandchildren.

Cynthia will be buried at Park Cemetery in Columbus with no services held. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
