Robert Shaver

Robert “Bob” Shaver, 70, of Columbus, died December 5, 2022, from injures received in a vehicle accident in Pittsburg. Born May 31, 1952, in Hallowell, Bob was the son of Cecil Ray and Charlene M. Crain. They preceded him in death. Bob was also preceded in death by a brother Charles R. Shaver.

Bob was raised in Hallowell on a farm near Columbus. He attended Columbus schools, graduation from Columbus Unified High School with the class of 1970. He then attended Wichita State university where he received his undergraduate degree in business administration in 1978. He continued to receive his master’s in business administration in 1979. Bob obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1985.

A veteran of the Vietnam war, Bob was honorable discharged from the United States Air Force. Prior to entering private law practice as a solo practitioner, Bob was employed as Vice President and Investment Department Manager of Kansas State Bank and Trust and General Counsel for IMC Financial, LLC.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Mendi Otto-Dietz and Hannah Conglutin and two brothers Gary Shaver and Michael DeRusse. Many more family members and friends also survive.
