Randy Lee Rakestraw Sr. 60, of Pittsburg, died 4:38p p.m. Friday December 9, 2022, at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg following an illness. Born February 17, 1962 in Port Hueneme, Calif., Randy was the son of Carl Lee and Mary Louise (Mitchell) Rakestraw. They preceded him in death.
Randy was a graduate of Cherokee High School and later joined the United States Army. He worked many years for A1 Heating and Air and later Heckert Construction in Pittsburg. Randy was of the Christian Faith; loved racing cars, building cars, smoking tires, MOKAN and most of all his kids and grandkids.
Randy is survived by lifetime partner Kathy O’Connell of Pittsburg; children: Christina Seeber (husband Curtis) of Galena, April Lloyd of Girard, Randy Lee Rakestraw Jr. and Scotty Smith both of Pittsburg; grandchildren Tyler Seeber, Mckinzie Seeber, Blayton Seeber, Bryleigh Seeber, Brayden Seeber and Heather Smith. Siblings Kenny Rakestraw, Tim Rakestraw (wife Amy), Tina Young, Dennis Rakestraw and Ann all of Pittsburg, Steve Rakestraw (wife Shayla) of Bella Vista, Ark. and Vickie Rakestraw of Panama City, Fla. Along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
