Eula Mae Smith, 88, of Commerce, Okla., died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, Okla. Born February 6, 1934 in Commerce, Eula Mae was the daughter of Daniel Boone and Lena Viola (Barker) Turley. They preceded her in death. Eula Mae was also preceded in death by six brothers, Stanley Turley, Martin Turley, John Turley, Kenneth Turley, D.B. Turley and Robert Turley. She had lived in the Commerce area most of her life.
Eula graduated in 1951 from Galena High School in Galena. She worked for Security Bank in Miami, Okla., Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Okla. and the Ottawa County Clerk’s Office.
Eula Mae is survived by sons, Charles Smith and (wife Elisabeth) of Tuttle, Okla. and Kelly Smith of Norman, Okla.; daughter, Shellie Williams (husband Roger) of Colleyville, Texas. Three grandchildren, Cara Vaught ( husband Jason), Cory Smith and Ethan Williams along with four great-grandchildren, Carly Vaught, Macy Vaught, Carson Smith and Evelyn Smith also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 27 at Commerce Community Church in Commerce, Okla. Reverend Ron Rabel will officiate. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Cory Smith, Jason Vaught, Randy Turley, Jim Turley, Tom Turley and Scott Littlejohn will serve as pallbearers.
