Many local residents had water pipes freeze during the recent minus 30-degree wind chill cold snap. The city is no different. A fire plug at the corner of Maple Street and Pennsylvania Avenue was spraying water Wednesday morning. City workers made the repairs and water was restored to the downtown square in less than two hours.
