Daniel Michael Qualls, 81 of Galena, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Freeman West Hospital of Joplin, Mo. Born August 2, 1941 Daniel was the son of Leonard M. and Grace L. (Howell) Qualls. He attended Galena Schools. He later enlisted in the United States Army. He was a lifetime resident of Galena. Dan was always a hardworking man. He had worked in quality control at Gulf Chemical and LaBarge Electronics and he was wellknown for his work as a residential contractor and painter, working on dozens of homes throughout Galena and the surrounding area until very recently when his health began to decline.
Daniel and Barbara Roy were united in marriage June 11, 1962. She preceded him in death January 28, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Grace Qualls.
Daniel is survived by two sons, David Qualls (wife, Mindy) of Pittsburg and Mike Qualls (wife, Rachel) of Branson, Mo.; a daughter, Kelly Williamson (husband, Bryon) of Galena; eight grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
