In the early days the Square in Columbus was always a busy place. Passengers waited for the train, bands gathered to perform concerts and people gathered just to visit and learn the latest news. This weekend, the Square will once again be filled with both residents and out of town guests celebrating Columbus Day.
Friday, October 6 Scarecrow Contest: scarecrows will be on the North side of the square and East on Maple St. Prizes will be given for two places. Contest is open to businesses, organizations and individuals. Scarecrows must be in place by noon, today.
