No matter the name, nor the boundaries, the “Right Corner of Kansas” has a rich and glorious history both before and after the formation of the political sub-division now known as Cherokee County.

Picture, if you will, the scene described by Dr. E.A. Scammon, physician, druggist and an early settler. Arriving in the county on Christmas day in 1869.
