County property tax statements though they were dated November 20, finally arrived in mail boxes last week just days from the due date. Though most taxpayers were more concerned about the amount of taxes they owe than the due date.
According to the county officials the late statement arrival date was due to Cherokee County being forced to wait on the tax rates from Crawford County.
