Robert Theodore Keener, 94, Parsons, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2026 at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
Born March 25, 1932, in Pontotoc County, Okla., Robert was the son of John Isaac Keener and Monice Eula (Tiffin) Keener and grandson of Stokes and Dulcie Keener. He attended Vanoss, Okla. High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. He served in the US Army and spent most of his adult life as a truck driver. He had previously lived in Ada, Okla. and Vanoss, Okla. and had been a resident of Parsons for the past seven years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Delpha Fern Jones Keener; his wife of 31 years, Wanalee Keener; and son Robert Joseph (RJ) Keener.
Survivors include four children, Walter Raymon Keener and wife Beverly, LaJunta (LJ) Martin, Debi Phillips and Keith Keener and wife Rhonda and one sister, Jane Cook-Files.
Robert has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego for burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla. No services are planned.
