Terri Lynne McCool, 63, of Galena died at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 following an illness.
Born November 8, 1957, in Joplin, Mo., Terri was the daughter of Billy Gene and Barbara Rae (Wilkerson) Kent. She was a lifetime resident of Galena. She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1975. Terri worked several years as head cook at Pickle Jean’s Restaurant in Galena. Her favorite pastime was playing games on her phone.
Terri and William (Bill) McCool were united in marriage February 14, 2004. He preceded her in death March 8, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her dad, Billy Kent; two brothers, Wayne Kent and Billy Kent, and one granddaughter, Rilynn Crouch.
Terri is survived by three sons, Joseph Long (Clarissa), of Afton, Okla., Thomas Crouch, of Joplin, Mo. and Zack Crouch, of Utica, Neb; one daughter Katrina McMechan (Daniel), of Grenada, Miss.; her mother, Barbara Kent, of Galena; her sister-in-law, Donna Kent, Rancho Cucamonga, CA, one niece, Carrie Griggs, Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and 7 grandchildren.
Cremation was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, of Galena.
The family will host a Celebration of Life for Terri at 2:00 p m, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home at 8502 SE Plum Lane, Galena, Ks
