Shirley Anne Corn, 85, of Frontenac, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home.
Born March 28, 1936 in Corona, Shirley was the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Crespino) Caputo. She was a high school graduate from West Mineral High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Shirley was married to Edgar “Bud” Corn. He preceded her in death July 22, 2000.
Shirley was a homemaker her whole life. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and doing things for others. Shirley will always be remembered as an elegantly dressed woman who shined on the dance floor alongside her husband.
Shirley is survived by her son; Tim Corn (wife Christy) of Pittsburg, brother; Bill Caputo (wife Judy) of Grove, Okla., three grandchildren; Ian, Jonah and Lucas and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Angie Strathe and Mil Connelly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 20, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Josh Evans will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery.
The parish rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 9:30 a.m. at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
