Arnold Sullivan Yukon, Okla.

Arnold Tim Sullivan, 75, of Yukon, Okla., died unexpectedly at his home August 15, 2021. Tim was born in Hallowell, August 8 1946. He was the son of Ella and Emmett Sullivan, Sr. They preceded him in death.

Tim was a graduate of Cherokee County Rural High School with the 1964. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. Tim then went to work at Princess Homes until it closed. Then he was employed by Yellow Freight where he retired after 33 years.

A devout Christian, Tim accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was an active member of Council Road Baptist Church in Bethany, Okla., sharing his faith with family, friends, even strangers. Tim loved hunting, fishing, carving, and painting. An avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed camping in his RV, metal detecting, arrowhead hunting, and playing music with his handmade dulcimer. Known for his fantastical tall tales and quirky sense of humor, he will be greatly missed.

Tim is survived by his wife Barbara Sullivan of the home; children, Scott Sullivan (Misty) of Columbus and Kristi Miller (Gary) of Frontenac; grandchildren Megan Tilley (Matt) Aaron Sullivan (Natalie), Seth Sullivan (Meagan Kay), and Kylie Miller; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Adalynn, Kinlee and Kayson. Tim is also survived by his siblings Emmett Sullivan, Jr. (Ruth Ann), Bob Sullivan (Roberta), Edna Vance (Gary) and Ramona Meise.

A visitation and memorial will be held Saturday, September 25 at The First Baptist Church in Oswego. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. with service to follow at 3 p.m. Jim Irwin will officiate.

In place of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital and/or The Warrior’s Project to assist veterans.
