Tony G Trollope, 74, of Oswego, died at 11:04 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Oswego Health and Rehab following an illness.
Born August 27, 1946, in Oswego, Tony was the son of Ralph and Naomi (Babcock) Trollope. They preceded him in death. Tony was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law Kent Foster. Tony spent his lifetime living in Parsons and Labette City.
Tony was a graduate of Labette County High School with the class of 1964. He then began working at Huntsman Campers in Chetopa until entering the United States Army from 1966 to 68.
Tony was employed at Wise Auto Service in Parsons for several years before opening his own auto repair business in 1978. Tony’s Garage was located in Parsons for years before moving to Labette City in 2010. Tony also owned and operated other side businesses including a backhoe service, Yellow Cab Company and a concession trailer at different times.
Tony enjoyed working on cars, fishing, having cookouts, playing cards, dominos and caring for horses along with other farm animals. Tony enjoyed talking with friends and family.
Tony is survived by his son, David Trollope (Kristy), of Porter, Texas; daughter, Robin Roesky (Bob), of Coffeyville; a sister, Diana Foster, of Ramona, Okla. and brother, Tom Trollope, of Parson. Five grandchildren, Rachel Jordan (Luke), Erica Trollope, Matthew Roesky, Nicholas Roesky and Olivia Roesky; and one great grandson, Henry Jordan also survive.
Cremation has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego. At Tony’s request, no public service is planned. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family and close friends.
