Christina Marie Kitts, 51, of Joplin, Mo., died Friday, September 24, 2021 at Freeman West after a sudden illness. Born February 25, 1970, in Sacramento, Calif., Christina was the daughter Joseph and Velma (White) Redden. They preceded her in death. She grew up in California and Kansas. Christina was a graduate of Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1988. She worked for Celltron of Galena for many years. She was a loving person who had a soft spot for stray animals. She had several rescue dogs over the years. She was always looking to spend time with her husband and daughter. She will be greatly missed by many.
Christina is survived by her husband, William David “Bill” Kitts, whom she married July 18, 1998 in Joplin, Mo.; daughter, Coni Kitts of Austin, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Vicki and Dale Kitts of Joplin, Mo.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 1 at 10 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Virgil Eubanks will officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Stella, Missouri.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
