Curt Yardley, 56, of Parsons, died at 7:51 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2021, at Labette Health ER. Born February 18, 1965, in Garden City, Justin Curt was the son of Roy Yardley, Jr. and Evelyn (Leeper) Yardley. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Garden City.
For the last 30 years, Curt has lived in Parsons and worked in the railroad shop in Parsons. He enjoyed playing his guitar and working on vehicles, especially his truck.
Curt is survived by his longtime companion, Diane Yager of the home; a son Justin G. Yardley and daughter, Jenna Yardley both of Oswego; three step-sons, Joshua Garoutte and Jeremiah Garoutte (wife, Ashley), both of Coffeyville and Larry Garoutte of Parsons; step-daughter, Jessica Gorham (husband, Travis), of Coffeyville; and his mother, Evelyn Yardley of Garden City.
Six grandchildren and two on the way; three brothers, Troy Yardley of Wichita, Brian Todd Yardley of Hugoton and Darwin Yardley (wife, Ronnie), of Locust Grove, Okla.; two sisters, Robin Mills of Cherryvale and Valerie Otzuka (husband, Marty), of Garden City; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Curt was preceded in death by his father, Roy Yardley, Jr.; and two sisters, Jacque Harrison and Traci Harrison.
A memorial service will be announced at a later day. Cremation is under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
