Cathy Windle, 70, Columbus

Cathy Arlene Windle, 70, of Columbus, died Friday, February 4, 2022, in Asbury, Mo. from results of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born October 1, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo., Cathy was the daughter of Kenneth E Stevens and Uhl Frances McCormick. She lived in the area since 2005, moving here from Fairland, Okla. Cathy was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Quapaw, Okla. Among her hobbies, Cathy enjoyed sewing, porcelain dolls, angels, bells and listening to gospel music.

Cathy and David Meyers Sr. were united in marriage June 17, 1971. He preceded her in death February 14, 2000. She married Larry Eugene Windle in Miami, Okla. March 1, 2013. He survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by her children Darlene Emmett (husband Fred) of Columbus, Bobby Bittner of Nevada, Mo., Alvin Meyer and David Meyers Jr. of Asbury, Mo., Cathy Henry (husband Benny) of Miami, Okla., Jacob Meyers of Claremore, Okla. and Arlene Holiday of Pueblo, Colo. Her stepson Howard Trott of Columbus and 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her first husband, David Meyers, Sr.,

In addition to her first husband, David Meyers, Sr., Cathy was preced in death by her son Joseph Bittner, brothers Glen and Merle Stevens and sister Hazel Bratcher.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Derfelt Funeral Home in Columbus. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 10,
