Alberta Jean “Jeanie” Ray, 69, of Carl Junction, Mo., died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. She was born in Baxter Springs. She was the daughter of Rita Alberta Daniel Cramer and James William Cramer. Her father preceded her in death. In addition to her father, Alberta was preceded in death by one brother, Jamie Cramer; and one sister, Diedra Harvey.
Jeanie married Steve Jack Ray January 1, 1970, in Baxter Springs. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Steve Ray (wife, Judy), of Carl Junction, Mo. And George Ray (wife, Catherine), of Carterville, Mo.; and daughter, Diana Reeves (husband, Shane), of Grove, Okla. Seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, James William Cramer (wife, Tracy), of Baxter Springs; and sister, Treva June Colvard (husband, Sam), of Galena also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 18, at 2 p.m. at the Derfelt Funeral Home Baxter Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery.
