Ruth Marie (Eby) Imbeau, 83, of Quapaw, Okla., died Friday, March 25, 2022 at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Born August 10, 1938 in Quapaw, Okla., Ruth was the daughter of Elmer Eby and Nellie McMinn Eby. They preceded her in death.
Ruth and Leroy Imbeau were united in marriage September 30, 1955 in Miami, Okla. Leroy preceded her in death September 14, 2009. To this union were born three children, Clay, Benda and Mike. Her family was the light of her eyes.
Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed going to auctions, antiquing, family time and baking wedding cakes.
In addition to parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Eby, Paul Eby and Billy Dale Eby; and one sister, Judy Schoenhals.
Ruth is survived by her children, Mike Imbaeu and Clayton Imbaeu (wife, Jerri), all of Quapaw, Okla. and Brenda Harden (husband, Sonny), of Ponca City, Okla, sister, Wanda Castagno, of Weir and sister-in-law, Erma Spencer, of Quapaw, Okla. Nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Ruth will be missed by all her family and friends.
According to her wishes cremation will take place. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt’s
