Georgia was a lifetime member of Sixth Street Baptist Church, in Galena. She loved her Lord and Savior with her whole heart and was never afraid to share the gospel with anyone who would ask. She was quick to tell you if you were misbehaving that you better hit your knees and make it right because time was a gift and tomorrow were not promised. She had a true servant’s heart. She took care of so many and did so much to help wherever and whenever it was needed and never complained.

Georgia worked for USD #499 for 32 years in the kitchen. When she retired, she had worked her way to being the head cook. She retired in 2003. She loved all the kids and they all loved her, too. If they needed a hug, she always had one for whomever needed it. She affectionately became known as the lunch lady which brought an infectious smile to her face. She made sure no kid ever left hungry.
