Roger Eugene Bergen, 62, of Columbus died April 19, 2022, at his home. The first child to Kenneth and Joanne Bergen-Geer Roger was born January 9, 1960 in Torrance, Calif. They preceded him in death. Also preceding Roger in death was his sisters Sandra Kay Geer and Cynthia Jean Collinsworth.
He grew up in San Pedro, Calif. and graduated from high school in Mesa, Arizona.
Roger started a career in Wyoming in the oil industry as a rig worker for several years and moved on to become a mechanic and worked in the auto salvage industry and was well known and respected. Roger was one of the most kind, caring and selfless people you could meet. He loved wholehearted and had so much love to give.
Roger is survived by his sisters Pauline Marie Leckie of Pomona Calif. and Dianna Coleman of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a brother Kenneth Ray Geer Jr. of Derby. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Roger’s greatest joy was his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
