Allan Franklin Pruitt, 75, of Joplin, Mo., died September 26, 2022 at Medicalodges in Neosho. Born April 27, 1947, in Joplin, Mo., Allan was the son of Glen and Arlene (Phillips) Pruitt. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Phillip. Allan graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1965. He received a bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University, and then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas. He was an attorney for the State of Arkansas for 32 years. Allan and Linda Fielding were united in marriage September 6,1973, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives.
Allan and Linda loved and owned racehorses after retiring and made many friends with this hobby. Allan also enjoyed spending time with his “lunch bunch” friends from Baxter Springs High School. Special thanks to Jim Baldwin for always being there.
In addition to his wife, Allan is survived by many special relatives, friends and his beloved “Rosie”.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Horses of Hope c/o Mason Woodard. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
