Alyce A. Hanney, 98, of Pittsburg, died July 15, 2022 at Oakview Estates in Pittsburg. Born March 12, 1924 in Texas, Alyce was the daughter of Ernest and Mary Divin Homolac. They preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Pittsburg since 1989, moving from Stanley.
Alyce and Jack Hanney were united in marriage February 23, 1949. He preceded her in death July 6, 2020. Alyce had been a homemaker for most of her life.
Alyce is survived by three sons Paul E. Hanney of Pittsburg, Jere Hanney of Prairie Village and Mark Hanney of Overland Park. One grandchild and three great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Alyce was preceded in death by one brother Joe Homolac, five sisters Helen Homolac, Marie Krob, Agnes Peterka, Christina Halek and Mildred Dosedlo.
Celebration of Life service and burial will be at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg,
