Barbara Ann Snow, 80, of Tuttle, Okla. died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla. Born November 2, 1941, in Los Angeles Calif., Barbara was the daughter of Oral Bowden and Lavina Stephens Bowden of Baxter Springs. She graduated from Baxter Springs High School and then completed the nursing program at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg. Barbara worked as an RN in several states before retiring from Eastern State Hospital in Vinita Okla.
Barbara developed a passion for genealogy after retiring and traveled the Midwest with her grandchildren searching records and locating cemetery markers.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Tuttle Okla.; two daughters, Tammy Reed (husband, David), of Bella Vista Ark. and Rebecca Thulin (husband, Russell), of Miami Okla.; one son, Ron Snow, of Yukon Okla.; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte Kennel, of Colorado Springs Colo. and Jeannie Doolittle, of New Mexico.
Graveside services were held Thursday, October 6. in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Burial followed.
Graveside arrangements were under the direction of the Derfelt Funeral Home, Baxter Chapel.
