Delbert Longan, 83, of Lowell, formerly of Quapaw, Okla. died at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. at 4:33 a.m., Sunday, August 15, 2021, following an illness. Born June 21, 1938, Delbert was the son of Marshal and Bertie (Bearden) Longan. He enjoyed horse races, hunting, fishing, gardening, western movies, spending time with family and especially the grandkids.
Delbert is survived by his spouse Jo Hannah of Cherryvale, formerly Quapaw, Okla.; children: Cathy Hannah (spouse, Stuart Perez) of Cherryvale; Joy Sutherland; Larry Longan; David “Pup” Longan (spouse, Kelly); Debbie Wray (spouse, George); Linda Davis (spouse, Wes); and Mike Longan all of Quapaw. Matt Hannah (spouse, Donna) and Bobby Hannah, both of Spavinaw, Okla. Her sister, Betty Nicholas of Brentwood, Calif., several grandchildren and great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal Longan and Bertie (Bearden) Pelfrey; stepmother, Sylvia Longan; and one brother, James Jackson.
The graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 18, at 2 p.m. at Wyandotte Nation Cemetery, 64700 E HWY 60, Wyandotte, OK 74370. Wes Davis will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be: Larry Longan, Pup Longan, Mike Longan, George Wray, Eric Eby, and Jason Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be: Justin Wray, Asa Wray, Davie Eby, Travis Eby, Grant Eby, Terry Carey Reeves, Trace Reeves, Trevor Shamblin, Randy Davidson, David Sappington, and Hunter Sappington.
