Doris Harrison

Doris Jean Harrison, 89, of Webb City, Mo., formerly of Baxter Springs, died August 30, 2021 at Freeman East Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

Born May 9, 1932 in Warren, Ohio Jean was the first daughter of Marguerite Opal Williams Harrison and Charles G. Harrison. Her twin, June Rose did not survive. In addition to her twin, Jean was preceded in death by her father, July 1, 1993 and mother June 8, 1995.

Jean served in the United States Navy and Air Force during the Korean War.

Jean is survived by a sister Georgia Lea Harrison Melson of North Highlands, Calif., brothers, Carl Ray Ahrens of Miami, Okla., Bob Harrison, of El Dorado, Ark, Charles G. Harrison Jr. of Warren, Ohio. and Michael Harrison of Miles, Texas. Cousins, Dorothy Lowther, of Chanute, George Richmond of Nixa Mo., John Richmond, of Joplin, Mo., Jeffrey Harrison of Springfield, Va. and Donna Harrison of Cortland, Ohio. Nephews, Christopher Ahrens, of Miami, Okla., James Melson of Fair Oaks, Calif., Robert Harrison, of Odessa Texas and Afton Banta of Oakland Calif.; nieces Carlisha Ahrens, of Oronogo, Mo., Vickie Jo Banta, of Citrus Heights, Calif., Sarah Harrison and Maria Harrison of Tyler Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery in Missouri.
